SeaTech Solutions International and GRSE Pioneer India’s Green Maritime Innovation with E-VOLT 50 Electric Tug

Singapore, November 22, 2023 – In a significant stride towards India’s ambition of becoming a global hub for green shipbuilding by 2030, Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) Ltd, inked a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Wednesday with SeaTech Solutions International, Shift Energy and the American Bureau of Shipping – ABS. The collaboration aims to bring to fruition the country’s first Electric Tug E-VOLT 50, a groundbreaking initiative poised to revolutionize India’s tugboat industry by curbing carbon emissions, enhancing operational efficiency, and establishing new benchmarks for performance and environmental sustainability. GRSE India will build Electric Tug based on the E-VOLT 50 design by SeaTech Solutions International.
