From Inception

To Delivery

Ship Design is an interactive process, and we cover the complete design spiral. From inception to delivery, we work alongside finding solutions together.

  • Concept Design: It all starts with listening to you and understanding the mission and operational requirements. This phase establishes the ship dimensions, space layouts, equipment specifications. With this, the shipyard will be able to provide an accurate bid.

  • Basic Design: Building on the concept design, detailed studies, calculations, and drawings for optimizing the hull form, spaces, capacities, deadweight, propulsion systems are performed. This phase covers all the classification society and safety approval of the design.

  • Detailed Design: This phase focuses on the details required for construction and the production design. Shipyard standards, equipment and fitting details are incorporated. Seatings and foundations, internal and external fittings are detailed.

  • Production Design: We prepare the 3D Model using AVEVA, CADMATIC, FORAN or SHIP CONSTRUCTOR to align with shipyard’s preferences. The production information for NC cutting or pipe spools is generated progressively to suit shipyard production schedule.

  • Commissioning Design: This design phase covers the engineering activities at the vessel commissioning stage such as Sounding Tables, Inclining and Final Stability, Dock and Sea Trials records and AS-Fitted Plans, Delivery documents.
