SeaTech Solutions International (SSI) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Marinteknik Shipbuilders (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and UMOE Advanced Composites AS to collaborate on the development of a hydrogen-fuelled harbour craft concept for Singapore.

The project is supported under Singapore's ASLET (Ammonia, Hydrogen and Fuel Cell) initiative and is currently in the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase. This phase focuses on evaluating the technical feasibility of integrating low- and zero-emission technologies into harbour craft, laying the foundation for future development and deployment.

Under the collaboration, SSI and Marinteknik Shipbuilders will lead the vessel design, system integration, and overall project coordination. UMOE Advanced Composites will contribute its expertise in high-pressure hydrogen storage systems, supporting the concept development and feasibility assessments required for the project.

The collaboration brings together complementary expertise across vessel design, shipbuilding, and hydrogen storage technologies to explore practical and scalable solutions for the adoption of hydrogen as a marine fuel. By combining engineering innovation with cross-industry collaboration, the project aims to support Singapore's transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable maritime sector.

This Letter of Intent reflects the shared commitment of the project partners to advance next-generation harbour craft capable of supporting future low-emission operations. SeaTech Solutions International looks forward to working closely with its partners to develop innovative vessel solutions that contribute to the maritime industry's decarbonisation journey.
