SeaTech Solutions International (SSI) has signed a contract with Lita Ocean Pte Ltd and Pascal Technologies to design and construct Asia's first fully electric high-speed passenger vessel incorporating AirHull technology. The contract was signed during Singapore Maritime Week 2026, marking a significant milestone in Norwegian–Singapore collaboration to advance sustainable maritime transportation.
The project will deliver a 15-metre passenger craft capable of carrying up to 29 passengers. Combining SSI's expertise in vessel design with Pascal Technologies' innovative AirHull technology, the vessel is engineered to achieve high operational efficiency while supporting the maritime industry's transition towards low-emission transport.
AirHull technology reduces hull resistance by injecting a layer of air beneath the vessel, significantly lowering drag and reducing energy consumption by up to 50%. Coupled with a fully electric propulsion system, the vessel is designed to achieve service speeds of up to 22 knots while delivering efficient performance for Singapore's coastal operations.
The project reflects a shared commitment by the project partners to accelerate the adoption of clean maritime technologies through innovation and international collaboration. By integrating advanced hull design with zero-emission propulsion, the vessel aims to demonstrate how next-generation technologies can enhance both operational performance and environmental sustainability.
This contract reinforces SeaTech Solutions International's commitment to developing practical, future-ready vessel solutions that support the global maritime industry's decarbonisation efforts. The company looks forward to working closely with Lita Ocean Pte Ltd and Pascal Technologies to bring the project to fruition and contribute to the advancement of sustainable maritime mobility in the region.
